Prajakta Menezes is an Advocate registered with Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa. She is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She is a registered Insolvency Professional with Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI/IPA-001/IPP01349/2018-19/12016).

Prajakta is engaged in various assignments under Insolvency and Bankruptcy law. She regularly represents various banks before National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for initiating Corporate Insolvency Resolution (CIR) Process against defaulting borrowers. She advises the Resolution Professionals and Liquidators in the CIR process and liquidation process respectively and represents them before High Courts, Civil courts, appellate and tax authorities.

She is one of the leading professionals in the Indirect tax space and has more than 12 years of rich work experience with leading firms like Khaitan & Co, PDS Legal (member of Ernst & Young), PwC, RSM in the field of Indirect taxes. She advises clients from cross-sections of industry on all indirect tax related issues and regularly appears before High Court, various appellate courts and tax authorities.

Her advisory experience is a diverse mix of assisting and advising clients (domestic and international) with on-call advisory services, providing legal opinions, conducting tax compliance and health check reviews, advising on business transfer/M&A deals, reviewing agreements to advise on tax impact and suggesting suitable tax and indemnity clauses, advising on structuring and restructuring options to mitigate tax impact and due diligences.

Prajakta has advised a broad range of foreign and Indian corporate clients. In 2018, Prajakta founded PRM Legal, a law firm specialising in the field of insolvency resolution services and indirect taxes.

Avil Menezes is a fellow chartered accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Bachelor of Law from University of Mumbai. He has completed his Master’s in Commerce from University of Mumbai. He is one of India's earliest Insolvency professionals registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Membership no. IBBI/IPA- 001/IPP00017/ 2016-17/10041).

Avil has good exposure to various debt restructuring schemes notified by RBI for stressed companies and the Resolution / Liquidation process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

Avil has more than 18 years of experience in finance and banking sector and has worked with leading companies like ICICI Bank Limited and Tata Chemicals Limited. He carries extensive experience in Corporate and SME debt related products with exposure to working capital finance, trade finance and project finance across various industry sectors.
